Clube de Golf Santo da Serra
Clube de Golf Santo da Serra
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. | Host of the Madeira Island Open

Perched high above Machico Bay with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Clube de Golf Santo da Serra is widely considered one of the most spectacular courses in Europe. Originally built in 1937, it was completely redesigned in 1991 by the legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr.

The club features 27 holes split into three distinctive 9-hole loops: Machico , Desertas , and Serras. The championship course (Machico & Desertas) regularly hosted the PGA European Tour's Madeira Island Open. Players can expect generous fairways, undulating greens, and a "botanical garden" atmosphere with four beautiful lakes and lush indigenous flora.
