St Andrews Links Breaks & Old Course Ballot Packages
Experience the magic of the Home of Golf. These packages are designed to give you the best of St Andrews, including the thrill of entering the daily ballot for a chance to play the world-famous Old Course.
Option 1: The St Andrews Classic Break (3 Nights / 3 Rounds)
This is the ideal itinerary for golfers who want to experience the St Andrews Links Trust courses, while giving themselves two chances at the Old Course ballot.

- Duration: 3 Nights
- Accommodation: 3 Nights B&B in a central St Andrews hotel (e.g., The Ardgowan Hotel, Hotel du Vin, or Rusacks)
- Golf: 3 Rounds (2 Guaranteed + 1 Ballot Day)

Your Golf Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival & Round 1
- Play the Jubilee Course or New Course(St Andrews Links Trust).
- We will enter your names into the Old Course Ballot for Day 3.
- Day 2: Round 2
- Play The Castle Course or Kingsbarns Golf Links.
- We will enter your names into the Old Course Ballot for Day 4 (if applicable) or check the Day 3 ballot results.
- Day 3: The Ballot Day (Round 3)
- Option A: If successful in the ballot, you will play the St Andrews Old Course!
- Option B: If unsuccessful, you will play your pre-booked backup round at a fantastic nearby links, such as Crail Golfing Society (Balcomie Links) or the Eden Course.

A fast-paced, high-quality trip perfect for a weekend break, giving clients one solid shot at the ballot.

Your Golf Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival & Round 1
- Play Fairmont Torrance Course or The Castle Course.
- We will enter your names into the Old Course Ballot for Day 2 (Done 48 hours prior to the play date).
- Day 2: The Ballot Day (Round 2)
- Option A: If successful in the ballot, you will play the St Andrews Old Course!
- Option B: If unsuccessful, you will play your pre-booked backup round at the New Course or Jubilee Course.
Important Information: How the Old Course Ballot Works
(Please read carefully as the Old Course is a lottery and cannot be guaranteed)
- The Lottery System: Almost half of the tee times for the Old Course are allocated to a daily ballot (lottery) to give golfers who missed out on guaranteed times a chance to play.
- We Manage the Entry: You do not need to worry about the admin. We will enter your names, home clubs, and exact handicaps into the ballot exactly 48 hours before your available play day.
- The Backup Plan: Because the ballot is a lottery, we always book a "backup" course for you on your ballot day. If your ballot is successful, you will play the Old Course instead, and we will do our absolute best to cancel or reschedule your backup round.
- Paying for the Old Course: If you are successful in the ballot, the green fee for the Old Course is NOT included in your package price. You will pay your green fee directly to the starter on the day of play.
- Handicap Limits: To play the Old Course, you must have a valid official handicap certificate. The maximum handicap allowed is 36 for both men and women.
